Full Stack Software Engineer

I'm a software engineer who first discovered the power of coding during my career in finance. My roles in banking gave me opportunities to use cutting-edge technology like Bloomberg Terminal and Acadia. As I strove to advance my skills as a user, I became increasingly curious about how these systems worked on the back-end. My curiosity led me to start self-studying JavaScript in the evenings after work. As I learned, it amazed me how applying something as simple as a For loop could accomplish so much in reducing redundancy and human error. I began implementing the Javascript programming concepts I learned in Excel VBA at work. I saw a big improvement in the efficiency and accuracy of business workflows, and I realized that if I pursued a career in technology, there would be even more possibilities.

Now, as a full-stack developer, I have worked with JavaScript, React/ Redux, Python, PostgreSQL, Express.js, Flask, CSS, and HTML in my projects. Outside of work, you can probably find me exploring the restaurant scene, local breweries, speakeasies, or home experimenting with new recipes in my own kitchen. I also love traveling to different places and experiencing the local culture through food and drinks!
